CLUB MAKES £500 DONATION TOWARDS CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS TREATS
Battle & Villages Lions Club has made a special donation of £500 to Battle Foodbank. This time of year is a special time for children and the Club has made the donation exclusively for children’s Christmas treats. Working together with local schools and other appropriate organisations, Battle Foodbank will prepare hampers containing Christmas items which families otherwise could not afford and without which children may be unable to enjoy the festive season to the full.
Battle & Villages Lions Club is particularly pleased to be able to participate in this project at such difficult times, and to continue its support of Battle Foodbank. Further details can be obtained by visiting the website at Battle Foodbank or by telephone on 07866 570468, or by calling in person at 13:00 – 15:00hrs (Weds. only) Benedict Whistler Room (behind St Mary’s Church), Upper Lake, Battle TN33 0AN.

Along with a big 'thank you', Sharn said this cheque meant the world to her. She had already raised most of the money to pay for her trip and Battle & Villages Lions were delighted to give her a donation to enable her to achieve her dream.
